USS Ross Departs Trieste, Italy

TRIESTE, Italy (NNS) -- The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile cruiser USS Ross (DDG 71) departed Trieste, Italy Feb. 4, after completing a scheduled port visit.
The visit served to enhance U.S.-Italian relations as the two nations work together to strengthen regional security and stability.
During the port visit, members of the Carabinieri and the Italian coast guard visited the ship to meet with the officers and crew. The Consul General in Milan, Elizabeth Lee Martinez, also visited the ship, accompanied by the deputy mayor of Trieste, Pierpaolo Roberti and the Prefect of Trieste, Annapaola Porzio.
