Coalition Forces not Blocking Entry of Humanitarian Aid through Yemeni Airports, Ports -King Salman Center of Relief Spokesman Says

Riyadh, Rabi'I 24, 1439, Dec 12, 2017, SPA -- The official spokesman for the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Works Dr. Samer Jetaili explained that Yemeni ports of Hodeidah and Sulaif, regularly, receive relief and humanitarian aid and they entered through ships belonging to the World Food Program, expressing dissatisfaction of center with the claims of Jamie Mcgoldrick, Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, which run contrary to the fact.

"We noted that the evacuation cell has received applications for ships in conjunction with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mission to Yemen (UNVIM), which means documenting this in the United Nations, stressing that the coalition forces did not obstruct any entry of humanitarian assistance to Yemen through airports and ports, Jetaili added.

Confirming the center's assistance did not stop as well as the assistance of United Nations organizations, he pointed out that UNICEF has sent a plane loaded with 15 tons of child vaccinations to Sanaa airport, while the ICRC sent a crew of eight employees through Sanaa airport and WFP aid has entered, too, to the ports of Hodeidah and Sulaif.
