FM spox downplays UAE claims about three Iranian Persian Gulf Islands
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, March 6, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that the UAE claims over three Iranian Persian Gulf islands are only repetition of previous nonsense claims.
Qasemi made the remarks speaking during his weekly press conference when asked to comment about recent remarks by UAE state minister of foreign affairs repeating old claims about the three Iranian islands.
The useless repetition of such remarks will change nothing, the spokesman said.
Countries like the UAE lack the ability and power to insult Iran and will receive proper response, Qasemi said, adding that Iran's stance in this regard is clearly transparent.
"We have repeatedly announced that these islands are Iranian and inseparable part of Iran."
