
MQ-9 crashes in Afghanistan

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan (AFNS) -- An MQ-9 Reaper assigned to the 451st Air Expeditionary Group, part of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, crashed Feb. 20 at about 9 p.m. Afghanistan time, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.
The crash was contained on Kandahar Airfield and there were no injuries or damage to civilian property as a result.
U.S. Air Force authorities will investigate the cause of the crash, but hostile fire was not a factor.
