Polish Defense Ministry spokesman said that Poland is training some 30 military instructors for the Ukrainian Armed Forces under NATO development program.

WARSAW (Sputnik) – Poland is training some 30 military instructors for the Ukrainian Armed Forces under NATO development program, Polish Defense Ministry spokesman said Wednesday.

"During the training the Ukrainians will familiarize themselves with the principles of planning and implementation of non-commissioned officers' education… The presence of the Ukrainian students is financed by NATO and the Polish Ministry of National Defense," Jacek Sonta said, as quoted by the Polish internet portal onet.pl.

The month-long training session is a part of NATO's Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) and will be held in two military training centers in the western Polish city of Poznan.

DEEP is the NATO program that advises the partners of the alliance how to build and reform their security and defense educational institutions, bringing them to NATO standards.

Ukraine has been taking part in this NATO program since 2012. Representatives of Poland and seven more NATO members, including the United States, Germany and France also participate in advising Ukraine.
