At least 9 people have been killed in a US airstrike in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar a day after 18 were killed in similar attacks.
The raid took place in the Shirzad district of Nangarhar late on Tuesday, Afghan police said.
It followed two similar strikes in the Afghan provinces of Nuristan and Ghazni which killed 18 people.
Authorities said on Tuesday that a US-led air assault left 10 people dead in the Waghez district of Ghazni.
Eight more people lost their lives in another US drone attack in the Wanat Waygel district of Nuristan.
The US-led forces have increased their air raids against civilian areas in Afghanistan in recent months.
The US carries out targeted killings through drone strikes in several Muslim countries such as Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan and Somalia.
Washington claims the targets of the drone attacks are militants, but local officials and witnesses maintain that civilians have been the main victims of such raids over the past few years.
The United Nations and several human rights organizations have identified the US as the world's number-one user of "targeted killings," largely due to its drone attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
