BEIJING, Sept. 4 -- A Russian army group that participated in a just-concluded anti-terror drill in China left the country on Thursday, marking the exit of all participating foreign troops.

'Peace Mission-2014,' a drill under the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) framework, ran from Aug. 24 to 29 in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The drill, which involved over 7,000 troops from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, aimed to hone multilateral decision-making, sharpen joint anti-terror efforts and boost intelligence sharing to ensure regional peace and stability.

Previously, troops from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan left Chinese territories between Aug. 29 to Sept. 1 after send-off ceremonies held by the Chinese army.
