Pakistan army again accuses Indian forces of violating ceasefire

Islamabad, Aug 16, IRNA -- Pakistan military Friday accused Indian troops of again violating the ceasefire and opening unprovoked fire.

The military sources said that the Indian troops 'continued' Line of Control (LoC) violations even on Friday and fired on Pakistani territory in Kotli and Battal sectors in the disputed Kashmir.

However‚ no loss has been reported so far, they said.

According to military sources‚ Indian troops committed LoC violations twice blatantly and targeted civil population on Thursday.

Indian troops fired over eight hundred mortar and artillery shells injuring six civilians in Kotli sector.

'Indians have committed thirty-four serious LoC violations during last twelve days,' the sources said.

Two civilians named Muhammad Zubair of Ghambar village in Battal sector and Sakhi Muhammad of Dabbi Dhar village also in Battal sector were killed on August 11 and 14, respectively and eight other civilians sustained injuries due to cross-border violations.

Four soldiers have also got injured in these violations, the sources said.
