WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Capt. Shawn Hendricks was relieved of his duties as the program manager for the Naval Enterprise Networks (NEN) (PMW 205) by Program Executive Officer, Enterprise Information Systems Victor Gavin June 24 due to a loss of confidence in his ability to lead.
The action was based on a substantiated Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) command investigation into an improper relationship and unprofessional behavior.
Gavin assigned Philip Anderson, PMW 205 deputy program manager, to assume the duties as NEN program manager until Hendricks relief is identified. Hendricks will be reassigned to SPAWAR's Washington Liaison Office while his case is processed.
The Naval Enterprise Networks Program Office (PMW 205) manages the acquisition lifecycle of the Department of the Navy's enterprise-wide information technology networks. NEN's portfolio includes the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), the OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) and the Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) contracting vehicle.
