Six people, including four Afghan policemen and two civilians, have been killed in an airstrike carried out by US-led forces in Afghanistan’s eastern province of Ghazni, Press TV reports.
The governor of Deh Yak district said the attack was carried out during the late hours of Wednesday when Afghan officers were inspecting a car.
The attack comes five days after 11 Afghans, including two children, were killed in a similar assault by the foreign forces near the provincial capital city of Ghazni.
Seven civilians were also killed in an airstrike in Logar Province last week. Several others were injured in the US-led attack.
Many civilians have lost their lives in the US-led operations in various parts of Afghanistan over the past decade, with Afghans becoming increasingly outraged at the seemingly endless number of the deadly assaults.
Washington claims that its airstrikes target militants, but local sources say civilians have been the main victims of the attacks.
