Iran refutes reports on intrusion of US fighter planes into Iranian airspace

Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA -- Deputy commander of the Army's Khatam al-Anbiya air defense base Brigadier General Shahrokh Shahram on Tuesday refuted recent rumors spread by foreign media that some US fighter planes have entered Iran's airspace.

Speaking to reporters, he strongly refuted the news as fabricated.

Earlier some foreign medias reported the intrusion of 10 US F22 jet fighters into the airspaces of Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The reports claimed that the jet fighters had taken off from a military base in Germany enroute to Iraq.
