SAN DIEGO (NNS) -- The executive officer of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO FIVE (HSC-25), has been relieved due to misconduct.

Cmdr. Kyle G. Strudthoff was relieved as a result of an investigation that confirmed he struck a junior officer during a squadron social event.

At Captain's Mast Sept. 11, Commander, Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific, Capt. Shoshana Chatfield, found Strudthoff guilty of violating UCMJ Article 133 for conduct unbecoming an officer.

Strudthoff had been scheduled to take command of the squadron last month. He has been temporarily assigned to the staff of Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific pending further reassignment.

Strudthoff will be replaced by Cmdr. Reuben Ramos, previously the executive officer of HSC-4 in San Diego.

HSC-25, the Navy's only forward deployed MH-60S expeditionary squadron, is based at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.
