The Turkish military says 25 soldiers have been killed in an explosion at an ammunition storage depot in western Turkey.
The army chief of staff said in a statement that the explosion occurred late on September 5 at a depot in Afyonkarahisar where hand grenades were stored.
Officials have ruled out a terrorist attack.
One official was quoted as saying the cause of the explosion was most likely the accidental dropping of a hand grenade.
