Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. Bellicose Forces' Moves for Another Korean War

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- The U.S. war-thirsty forces are busy floating the story about "the north's invasion of the U.S. and south Korea" and crying out for "careful examination" of a war strategy to cope with it.

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This indicates that those who steeped in hostility toward the DPRK to the marrow of their bones are running the whole gamut of plots to ignite another Korean war at any cost.

The U.S. is getting evermore keen these days to launch a new Korean war, the commentary says, and goes on:

Strategists of the U.S. Department of Defense have worked out a plan to hurl its air force and navy on a priority basis and let the south Korean puppet army conduct a ground warfare as its main duty in case of "invasion" by the DPRK. They are busy working out a war scenario which calls for the involvement of U.S. forces in the event of a large conflict, the reduction of the U.S. ground force taking part in battles and the filling of the gap with troops of its allies.

The U.S. has rounded off its scenario for a war against the DPRK while staging Key Resolve and Foal Eagle and other joint military exercises together with south Korean puppet forces under the pretext of coping with "invasion of south Korea" by the DPRK.

It is massively concentrating its aggression forces in south Korea and in its vicinity.

It is the U.S. aim to invade the DPRK by force of arms and establish military domination over the Eurasian Continent with the Korean Peninsula as a springboard.

The U.S. brass hats' projected reexamination of their war strategy is harmful in every sense as it will prove to be a serious military strategic mistake.

If the U.S. imperialists and their followers dare ignite a war against the DPRK, they will face unimaginably deadly retaliatory strikes of the DPRK, warns the commentary.
