VR-1 Commanding Officer Relieved of Duty

WASHINGTON (NNS) -- The commander of Fleet Logistics Support Wing relieved the commanding officer of Fleet Logistics Squadron (VR) 1, April 16.
Capt. Patrick J. Barrett relieved Cmdr. Corrine Parker of her duties following an investigation into alleged falsification of administrative records.
Cmdr. Robert Coogan, executive officer of VR-1, has assumed command of the squadron.
Accountability actions stemming from the investigation are pending. Parker has been temporarily assigned to Naval Air Facility (NAF) Washington, D.C. VR-1, which provides executive airlift for senior Department of the Navy leadership, is based at NAF Washington.
