Remains Of Last Missing U.S. Soldier In Iraq Officially Identified

The U.S. military has identified the remains of the last soldier who was missing in Iraq.
The remains of Sergeant Ahmed al-Taie, who was captured by Shi'ite militiamen in October 2006, were handed over to Iraqi authorities on February 22 and passed along to the U.S. Embassy the same day.
The Iraqi-born al-Taie served as an interpreter.
He is to be buried near his family's home in the U.S. state of Michigan.
The last U.S. combat troops left Iraq two months ago.
