U.S., S. Korea to Stage Military Exercises against DPRK

Pyongyang, February 18 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and south Korean naval forces have planned to stage joint military exercises in waters of the West Sea of Korea off Kunsan, North Jolla Province from Feb. 20 to 24, according to south Korea's Yonhap News.
Involved in the exercises will be huge armed forces including Aegis destroyer and tens of warships and helicopters.
They announced that in the exercises they would put emphasis on strengthening the combined preparedness and raising the "capability of tactical operation against the north's submarine".
The exercises, aimed to make preemptive attack on the DPRK from the sea, are to be conducted under an agreement reached at the second meeting of the south Korean and U.S. navies in last December, which decided to stage combined anti-submarine exercises twice every year on a regular basis.
The reckless exercises against the DPRK go to clearly prove the deception of "dialogue" touted by the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean authorities.
