NAVFAC Awards $40.3 Million Regional Support Services Contract

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast awarded a $40.3 million contract Dec. 13 to Fluor Federal Solutions, LLC a large business of Greenville, S.C. for base operations support services in Northeast Florida.
The company will provide support at Naval Station Mayport, Fla. and in Jacksonville, Fla., at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and Blount Island Command.

"We are proud that Fluor was chosen to provide these important services which will allow the Navy team to focus on the most important aspects of their missions."
The work to be performed provides for base operations support services including port services, supply, personnel support, facilities support, facilities management/facility investment, other (swimming pool), pavement clearance, utilities, chiller, electrical, waste water, steam, water, telecommunications, compressed air, base support vehicles and equipment, and environmental.
The maximum dollar value, including the base period, four option periods, and three award option periods is $317.7 million.
Work will be performed in the Jacksonville and Mayport area and is expected to begin March 2012.
The contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with 10 proposals received.
