03 Nov 2011 | Ref. 210/2011
BAE Systems has been selected as one of the five Preferred Industry Partners (PIPs) for the Applications Managed Services Partnership Arrangement (AMSPA) – as the lead for the Warfighter and Intelligence Domain.
The Warfighter and Intelligence Domain includes a range of applications development, systems integration and sustainment projects spanning land, air, space, maritime, ISR and coalition environments, with specific focus on capability integration.
The decision was recently announced by the Department of Defence's Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG).
Director Land & Integrated Systems Kim Scott said “BAE Systems is privileged to be selected as CIOG’s preferred partner in the Warfighter and Intelligence Domain. We are committed to working in partnership with CIOG to ensure the AMSPA goals of faster, more efficient, and better value for money ICT capability delivery are fully achieved.”
“We recognise the AMSPA arrangement will transform how industry engages with CIOG, and we look forward to continuing working alongside industry and SMEs to achieve optimal outcomes for future Defence ICT programs within the AMSPA framework.”
The initial term of the AMSPA is for a five year period, with an option to extend based on PIP performance.
