He further warned countries over the negative impacts of the destructive and unwise measures by the NATO in Afghanistan on the regional and world security.
Talking in a conference on Afghanistan in Istanbul, he said that Iran welcomed any measures leading to establishment and sustainable peace and stability in Afghanistan.
'Iran strongly believes in the prime and key role of regional countries especially Afghanistan’s neighbors to provide security there.'
To this end, he noted, Iran has initiated a series of meetings between the heads of state of three countries of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan while at the same time playing an active role in regional and international conferences held on the same issue.
The Iranian foreign minister underlined that any measures towards stability and security in the region will not only be a step forward for Afghanistan nation and government but helps regional and international peace and security.
He expressed concern over the ever-growing rate of violence, insecurity, killing of defenseless people and violation of human rights by foreign forces in Afghanistan.
He said that the growth in terrorist actions and the boost in poppy cultivation, the growing trend of organized crimes, mass killings of civilians, destruction of cities and villages are all the outcome of the unwise and destructive interference by the NATO and the US in Afghanistan.
