TKC Global Solutions, L.L.C., Anchorage, Alaska, was awarded on Sept. 29 a firm-fixed-price contract for Air Force Network accelerated migration support services. The face value of this action is $10,608,481, with the total cumulative face value of the contract being at $42,237,926. The period of performance is from Sept. 30, 2011 through Sept. 29, 2012, with two one-year option periods until Sept. 29 2014. Work will be performed at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., and Langley Air Force Base, Va. The original solicitation was issued as an other than full and open competitive action pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1/DFARS 206.302-1), and one proposal was received. TKC Global Solutions is a large business. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the contracting activity (HC1028-11-C-0136).


BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems, Totowa, N.J., was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for a maximum $24,062,919 for installation of advanced radar warning receiver ship sets on C-130 aircraft. Other location of performance is New York. Using service is Air Force. The date of performance completion is Aug. 13, 2013. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (SPM4AX-08-D-9416/XE02).


Robertson Fuel Systems, L.L.C., Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $16,754,932 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-08-D-0009) for the procurement of 24 mission auxiliary fuel tank systems and related hardware for the V-22 aircraft. Work will be performed in Tempe, Ariz., and is expected to be completed in December 2012. Contract funds in the amount of $16,754,932 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

CACI, Inc. - Federal, Chantilly, Va., is being awarded a $12,772,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee and fixed-price ordering provisions to provide functional, highly-technical, professional, analytical, and administrative support services to the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) in support of the Navy’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. The work will include: working engineering change proposal; business process improvement evaluations; testing; and deployment and sustainment of the Navy ERP single supply solution release and other Navy ERP initiatives. Services provided will include: participation on functional teams within the Navy ERP program, the Navy and the Department of Defense, assisting the Navy in resolving differences between commercial standards, cross service and existing Navy business processes by providing functional expertise in Navy business processes; technical and functional architecture support; and training development and execution support. The contract includes four 12-month option periods, which, if exercised, will bring the contract value to $36,734,284. Work will be performed in Mechanicsburg, Pa. (60 percent); Philadelphia, Pa. (15 percent); Norfolk, Va. (15 percent); and San Diego, Calif. (10 percent). Work is expected to be completed Nov. 30, 2012. If all options are exercised, expected completion is Nov. 30, 2016. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce On-Line website, with two offers received. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00189-12-D-Z001).


Atlantic CommTech Corp., Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded an $11,950,723 firm-fixed-price contract for protective aircraft shelter interior intrusion detection systems and redundant cable for the 498th Nuclear Systems Wing. Atlantic CommTech is performing 100 percent of the work throughout six NATO installations in Europe. Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center/PKE, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (FA9422-12-F-0001).


International Business Machines Corp., Yorktown Heights, N.Y., is being awarded a $6,576,024 cost contract (HR0011-12-C-0015). The Broad Operational Language Technology Program has a goal of creating technology capable of translating multiple foreign languages in all genres, retrieving information from the translated material, and enabling bilingual communication via speech or text. Specifically, this contractor will conduct work for Activity A, “Genre-Independent Translation and Information Retrieval System,” and Activity C, “Human-Human Dialogue System.” Work will be performed in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. (56.93 percent); Aachen, Germany (8.83 percent); College Park, Md. (8.65 percent); Cambridge, United Kingdom (8.16 percent); Stanford, Calif. (8.10 percent); Baltimore, Md. (4.12 percent); Le Mans, France (3.82 percent); and Cambridge, Mass. (1.39 percent). The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2016. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity.
