TEHRAN (ISNA) - Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naeem Qassem said Palestinian government should be established in the whole Palestinian land.
“The freedom of Palestine will not be fulfilled without resistance and people will continue resisting as they did over last 60 years," Qassem told ISNA.
“We believe Palestinian government should belong to the whole Palestinian land. We do not believe in partial government in Palestine, but if some countries try to press Palestinians through that way, it is their own business. We do not want to support the manner, but we say the ultimate goal should be formation of government in the whole Palestinian territory,” Qassem said referring to the issue of independent government offered by the President of Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas.
As to the failure of the issue, he noted, “We believe the issue of establishing the Palestinian government will not secure victory in the UN Security Council, but it will get a good result in UN General Assembly, since the viewpoint of General Assembly countries will not be an absolute one but a recommendatory one. The US will use its veto right in UN so the issue will be turned into a “spiritual one.”
As to the role of the Islamic World, he added, “All Islamic countries should support Palestinian right with their finance, weapon, unity, talks and position.”
