Seven dead in suicide bombing in Afghanistan
12:18 09/09/2011 KABUL, September 9 (RIA Novosti) - Seven people died and six were wounded in a suicide car bombing at a police headquarters in the southern Afghan province of Kandahar on Friday, a spokesman for the provincial administration said.
The suspected militant blew up his vehicle after being stopped as he attempted to drive into the headquarters, the spokesman said.
Three police officers and four civilians died.
The radical Islamic group the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
