Tehran, Sept 8, IRNA -- According to IRNA Audio-Visual Monitoring Service, Euro News reported Hosni Mubarak, accused of order massacre of demonstrators in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, was brought to court on Tuesday and Wednesday for 3rd and 4th times.
The TV station showed the multi-layer rows of Egyptian police and security forces taking advantage of iron-bar fences around the building where the former Egyptian dictator is put to trial, adding, “The trail of Mubarak took place under conditions that a number of his supporters and opponents were staging rallies simultaneously.
Many Egyptians have announced that the presiding judges at Mubarak trail are not Egyptian, and have been pursuing the matter from the southern littoral countries of the Persian Gulf.
The trail of ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak resumed on Wednesday with new witnesses questioned over the deaths of protesters in the January revolution. The hearing is the fourth in the trail which opened in August but unlike the first two sessions, Wednesday’s hearing is being held behind closed doors and off-camera. Journalists are, however, live tweeting the events from inside the court room. In August, Mubarak (pictured above) remained in a cage for the court hearings. He returned to that caged area on Wednesday after reportedly arriving at the courthouse in an ambulance and on a stretcher.
The Mubarak trial 4th session has started, Mubarak arrived earlier wearing dark training suit. There is noticeable increase in security measures. There is no sign for Mubarak’s children but the attorney showed up as they promised yesterday.
5 Kuwaiti lawyers have been allowed to attend the trial and to defend Mubarak by permission issued by the Minister of Justice himself. The Kuwaiti defense team is made of 4 men and one lady.
