NAVFAC Specialty Center Acquisitions Awards $60M Architect-Engineering Contract

PORT HUENEME, Calif. (NNS) -- Specialty Center Acquisitions Naval (SCAN) Facilities Engineering Command awarded a maximum amount $60 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract to CH2M Hill/Clark Nexsen Energy Partners, J.V., Englewood, Colo., July 27.
The contract was awarded for energy architect-engineering and design services.
The energy efficiency projects and services include shore facilities and utility systems at various locations worldwide for the Anti Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) program. Other services include, but are not limited to, providing recommendations for assessments of the ATFP effectiveness, standardization, regional systems solutions, engineering efficiencies, reduction in total ownership costs, reduction of manpower, enterprise network solutions, performance based logistics, configuration management, and recommended design and technical solutions based on commercial off-the-shelf technology.
"This contract provides environmental consulting services in support of various Navy, Marine Corps and Federal government programs throughout the United States and its territories," said Patricia Venebal, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Expeditionary Service Center's contracting officer representative. "The work to be performed includes obtaining various engineering and incidental services for environmental program development and implementation; complex environmental studies; public outreach; optimization; training; data analysis; munitions response program support, and technical consultation."
Work will be performed at several Navy and Marine Corps facilities and various other government facilities stateside (80 percent), and overseas (20 percent), and is expected to be completed by July 2016. Contract funds in the amount of $10,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 30 proposals received.
