PEARL HARBOR (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific awarded a $7.5 million firm fixed-price, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract July 28 to Design Partners Inc. of Honolulu for architect-engineering services at various Navy and Marine Corps facilities in the Pacific.
The work to be performed includes plan and specification writing, cost estimating, functional analysis and concept development, request for proposals documentation, and other related services at various locations in areas under the cognizance of NAVFAC Pacific, including Hawaii, Guam and Japan.
"We're pleased to award the contract to Design Partners," said Ralph Luca, Capital Improvements business line manager. "The company has many years of experience in the Pacific and will help us with critical design and engineering support services for our entire area of operations."
Work is expected to be completed by July 2014. The contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with 15 proposals received.
