Nepal Army sacks 23 soldiers for staging mutiny

New Delhi, June 15, IRNA -- Nepal Army has sacked 23 soldiers and took disciplinary action against 13 others on charges of staging a 'mutiny'.
The Nepal Army (NA) took the decision yesterday after probing the March 28 incident, during which some soldiers manhandled Major Arun Bahadur Singh following the death of a fellow soldier at Indrabaksha Battalion in Myagdi district, pti reported quoting to the Nepal Army Headquarters.
Angry soldiers had accused Major Singh of forcing Ram Bahadur Chaudhary to attend the exercise despite his deteriorating health. Chaudhary, later, died of heart complications.
NA had initiated the action by forming a court of inquiry against a total of 36 mutineers following the incident of manhandling Major Singh.
