TEHRAN (ISNA) - Iranian Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani called for the US officials to reconsider their behavior.

Larijani referred to the US President Barack Obama's annual speech and said, "his remarks were in line with last-ditch attempt to acquit the US."

"Many points were discussed in the speech and any outsider can find that the whole speech aimed to acquit the US and clear the detestable image that it has obtained for itself over many years. It is a cruel, aggressive and colonialist image which uses any tool to advance its interests," he said on Wedneday.

Amoli Larijani then highlighted the US double standards on human rights and said, "the most sorrowful issue is the case of Bahrain, violence in the country, destruction of mosques and burning copies of holy Quran."

Iran has already condemned arrival of Saudi Arabia and the UAE troops to Bahrain to help suppress popular protests which only call for democracy and more civilian rights.

Iran has said that arrival of the troops to Bahrain only makes the issue more complicated and that there is no military solution regarding Bahrain.

Obama in his 45-minute speech last Thursday claimed Palestinian-Zionist regime's borders should be defined based on 1967 borders and that recognizing the borders is necessary for formation of the two states . He also reiterated Palestinians should have the right to run their own country.

Obama had also called for Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down.
