Salehi calls for OIC to prevent violence in Bahrain

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called for the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to prevent violence in Bahrain.
In a phone call with the OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the two sides discussed developments in the Middle East particularly recent violence in Yemen and intervention of some Persian Gulf states' security forces.
Salehi raised concerns over escalating violence and called for Bahraini government to remain restraint.
Salehi urged the Arab country's government to pay attention to the people's legitimate demands.
The OIC Secretary General on his part raised concerns over Bahrain's recent situation and stressed the organization pursues the issue to resolve the crisis.
