Afghanistan denies Iran's militia helps

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Afghan Interior Minister Bismillah Khan Mohamadi denied Iran's militia helps to Afghanistan.
Afghan Interior Minister in a press conference with Iranian counterpart Mosfata Mohammad Najjar, replying to a question on Iran's backing of Afghan armed forces, said, "there is no proof of Iran's support for these groups and the country has always helped reconstruct Afghanistan and provide security of it."
This is the first trip of Iranian high ranking security board to Afghanistan.
The two countries have constructive cooperation in fight against terrorism, drug and organized crimes.
On his part, Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said Iran's might servers regional stability and calm adding that Afghanistan's security is the same as regional security.
He expressed hope that Afghans realize development and progress increasingly in their country, stressing that the two countries have deep ties and that there is no misunderstanding between them.
In another meeting with the President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, Mohammad Najjar said that ending insecurity in Afghanistan strengthens Iran's national security principles.
"We assure that nothing will happen in Afghanistan causing worries in the neighboring countries", the Afghan President said on his part.
He also noted," we believe that Afghans have to build their country and we oppose the presence of foreign forces."
Karzai was officially invited by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to attend Norooz celebration in Iran which starts on March 20.
