IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Khorramabad, Lorestan Prov, March 2, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned the US and its allies on military interventions in North Africa and the Middle East.
Addressing a large gathering of people in this western province on Wednesday, he said the regional nations will rise and send their soldiers to the graves if those countries fail to understand this.
He said today was not like ten years ago when the former US president decided to attack Afghanistan and Iraq for hollow reasons.
He warned that the regional nations will rise to confront any kind of military invasions to the North Africa and the Middle East regions.
Addressing certain governments which are playing the fake role of human rights advocates in the region, the Iranian President said no one would any longer believe their untruthful claims and plots because they are themselves the first-rate perpetrators of all kinds of crimes worldwide.
Referring to the revolutionary uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa, he said these movements never meant that the nations were backing such countries and their false claims because the regional nations as well as the world population considered the US and its allies as the main culprits behind all the crimes in the world.
Furthermore, the President went on to say, the whole world should be aware of the fact that the very notion of dictatorship was basically supported by the American government.
President Ahmadinejad stressed that the main objective pursued by the US and its allies in their new plans was to gain dominance over the oil and gas resources in North Africa and some Middle Eastern countries.
