Tehran, Feb 22, IRNA -- Head of the Iranian Armed Forces Command Headquarters, Major-General Hassan Firouzabadi described Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen’s visit to Middle East as “hasty”.
Major-General Firouzabadi underlined that the visit indicates Washington's worry about Mideast developments and the destiny of American troops in the region.
He said the American troops should withdraw from the Middle East, underlying that any kind of military actions have no effect on Muslims' revolution in the region.
Firouzabadi also advised Mullen to pay much attention to the American people and do not mislead them.
The top US military officer arrived in the Mideast region on Sunday for a week-long visit to underscore US strategic ties with its allies now being challenged by waves of protests sweeping the Arab world.
Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff has already visited Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
