Iran-Afghanistan settle fuel row

TEHRAN (ISNA) - Afghan ambassador to Iran Abdullah Abied said on Tuesday that fuel row between the two countries was fixed.
"Rows between Iran and Afghanistan on oil fuel transfer were removed after trip of Afghan Vice President Mohammad Qasim Fahim and President Hamid Karzai's letter to Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad," he told a press conference.
"All tankers arrived in Afghanistan and we appreciate the Islamic Republic of Iran for the issue."
He also said some Afghans held in Iranian prisons were released.
"387 Afghan prisoners were released from the total 592 and punishment of the remaining individuals was commuted," he added.
The ambassador continued the Afghan individuals were charged with carrying drugs, rubbery and lack of driving license.
