Egypt's military council set to ban strikes
12:08 14/02/2011 CAIRO, February 14 (RIA Novosti) - Egypt's military council, which took over the country following President Hosni Mubarak's resignation, is expected to ban strikes, national media reported on Monday.
The council is expected to issue a statement later in the day warning it would act against "chaos and disorder."
There are reports of ongoing protests and strikes at state controlled enterprises, banks, police and media organizations over wages and conditions.
The new military leadership dissolved parliament and suspended the constitution on Sunday.
