Gunbattle reported near presidential palace

Cairo, Feb 3, IRNA -- Heavy gunfire broke out around presidential palace in Cairo on Wednesday evening between the police forces and protesters approaching the presidential palace.
Witnesses said that the security forces inside armored vehicles opened fire at protesters moving on the way to the presidential palace.
There was no immediate report of casualties on the ground.
Gunfire and violence against protesters in Egypt left six people dead overnight Wednesday and early Thursday. At least 150 people have been killed by Egyptian police during 10 days of protest. The United Nations Human Rights chief Navi Pillay said that over 300 people may have been killed so far.
