Safavi: Egyptian-Tunisian revolutions inspired by Iran's Islamic Revolution
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 2, IRNA -- Supreme Leader's Advisor for Military Affairs Major General Seyed Yahya Rahim Safavi says Egyptian and Tunisian people’s revolutions are inspired by Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
Addressing a meeting in Kahnouj, a city in eastern Kerman Province, Safavi said the result of the holy blood of the Islamic Revolution martyrs is freedom of Muslim nations and humanity from clutches of regional and global tyrants and despots.
Noting that the US policies in the Middle East have failed, Safavi said Americans tried to install a laic regime in Iraq but failed and a Shiite government, that majority of whose members are Shiites, came to power there instead.
