IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Beirut, Jan 13, IRNA -- Lebanon's Presidencial office accepted in an official statement Thursday that the government of Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri was collapsed after resignation of more than one third of its cabinet members.

President Michel Suleiman's office appreciated the Lebanese primier and his cabinet members in the statement asking them to saty 'calm' and take care of executive affiars until the formation of a new government.

The government of Lebanon has dissolved Wednesday when 11 of its ministers mostly members of the March 8 alliance quitted their positions to protest, as they said, against the United States' interference in the internal affairs of Lebanon.

Certain Western states, the US in particular, are trying to link the Hezbollah of Lebanon to the assassination of former prime minister of Lebanon, Rafiq Hariri, who was killed in a massive truck bomb in central Beirut in 2005.

The International Court which is led by West powers, US in particular, has been trying to accuse Hezbollah officials of being involved in the assassination.

Efforts made by Syria and Saudi Arabia to solve dispute over Hariri's assassination were fruitless due to the US interference.
