Air Operations in Afghanistan
Orgun-E, Regional Command-East
U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted a show of force with flares which ground controllers deemed successful.
Bagram, RC-E
U.S. Air Force F-15E aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted a show of presence which ground controllers reported successful.
Morghab, RC-W
U.S. Air Force F-16C pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and released precision-guided munitions against enemy positions to deter enemy activity. Joint terminal attack controllers deemed the engagements successful.
Ali Kheyl, RC-E
U.S. Air Force F-15E aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted a show of force with flares which ground controllers reported as successful.
Zirani, RC-E
A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer aircrews and U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted shows of force to deter enemy activity. The B-1B aircrew also conducted multiple shows of presence over enemy positions. Ground controllers called the engagements successful

U.S. Air Force F-16C pilots and U.S. Air Force F-15E aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and conducted shows of force to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers reported the engagements as successful.
Musa Qaleh, RC-SW
Coalition aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and performed a strafing run over an enemy position to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers and joint terminal attack controllers called the engagement successful.
Qal-E-Naw, RC-W
A U.S. Air Force B-1B aircrew provided armed overwatch for friendly forces, conducted a show of force, and released multiple precision-guided munitions over an enemy position to deter enemy activity. Ground controllers called the engagements successful.

A U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Badghis Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 28,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircrews flew combat-airdrop missions in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 290,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.
Paktika Province, RC-E
A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircrew flew a combat-airdrop mission in Paktika Province, Afghanistan, delivering approximately 70,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.
