NATO supplies container burnt, driver injured

Islamabad, Dec 18, IRNA -- Unidentified armed men in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province. Saturday fired at a container, carrying supplies for NATO forces in Afghanistan and injured its driver and another person, police said.
The armed men, riding a motorcycle, fled after the attack near the town of Mach in Balochistan.
According to the local authorities, the armed men first fired on the driver and later set the container ablaze.
The injured driver and his cleaner were shifted to hospital.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Taliban militants usually claim responsibility for attacks on NATO supplies lorries in Pakistan.
Attacks on NATO trucks are common in northwest Pakistan, the main supply route to some 150,000 U.S-led foreign troops in Afghanistan.
Some 70 per cent supplies are transported for NATO forces through Pakistan.
