BRUSSELS, November 12 (RIA Novosti) - NATO's central military command may be relocated from the Belgian city of Mons to a city in Germany, a deputy from the Belgian parliament said on Friday.
"Actually, there is a proposal from Germany to relocate the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) to a well-equipped place with an airport and facilities," Belgian TV channel RTBF cited Valerie De Bue as saying.
Belgian Defense Minister Pieter De Crem said he would do everything possible to prevent the relocation of NATO's central military command.
Experts say that De Crem's statement implicitly confirmed NATO's plans over SHAPE's relocation.
