APRA HARBOR, Guam (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Marianas awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract, with a combined maximum capacity of $50 million, to four small business historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) companies Sept. 8.
The small businesses are CKY Inc. of Hagatna, Guam; Donaldson Enterprises Inc. of Waikoloa, Hawaii; Environet Inc. of Honolulu, Hawaii; and Unitek Environmental Guam of Barrigada, Guam.
Under the terms of the IDIQ contract, these four companies will compete for task orders with scopes of work that include munitions response and incidental environmental remediation on Guam and the surrounding Pacific Ocean.
"Safety is paramount," said NAVFAC Marianas Commanding Officer Capt. Peter Lynch. "This contract will facilitate the process of surveying construction areas and ensuring proper handling of any munitions and explosives of concern on all NAVFAC projects."
The contract includes one base period and four option years with an expected completion date of September 2015.
This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with five proposals received.
