Afghan officials say a suicide bomber has attacked a convoy of Afghan and NATO-led forces in northern Afghanistan, killing seven policemen.
The Interior Ministry says the bomber rammed a car full of explosives into the joint convoy Thursday in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province.
Six police officers and five civilians were wounded in the attack. A NATO spokesman said coalition troops had also been injured, but did not say how many.
The Associated Press reports the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
In southern Afghanistan, NATO says one of its helicopters made a "hard landing" near the village of Armarah in Kandahar province Thursday. The alliance says the helicopter caught fire after landing, but none of the 10 people on board were hurt. The site was later secured by Afghan police and NATO forces.
NATO says it is investigating the cause of the incident.
