IAI/ TAMAM Has Been Awarded a $2.5 Million (USD) Contract from NOVA Integrated Systems for the Establishment of a New Electro Optical Facility in India

Israel Aerospace Industries' TAMAM Division (IAI/TAMAM) and NOVA Integrated Systems, a TATA Enterprise (NOVA), have signed a $2.5 million (USD) contract wherein TAMAM will establish a new electro-optics facility at NOVA's plant in Hyderabad, India.

The new facility will enable maintenance, assembly, integration and production of electro-optical systems of TAMAM's well known Plug-in Optronic Payload (POP) family for the Indian defense and security market.

A first contract for the integration of new POP systems for the Indian market is in an advanced stage of negotiation.

Shaul Shahar, IAI/TAMAM's General Manager, noted: "We are very proud of this new program. TAMAM will transfer advanced technology in stages to NOVA to enable local production and to shorten turnaround time in terms of maintenance."

NOVA believes that this is an important milestone in IAI and NOVA's cooperation and that the new facility underlines a mutual commitment to bringing the most advanced technologies to India to support the Indian Security Forces.
