MP: Iran to sent parliamentary delegation, relief aid to Gaza

Tehran, June 8, IRNA - Head of Iranian Parliament’s Commission on National Security and Foreign Policies Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Tuesday that the Iranian Majlis is ready to dispatch a parliamentary group along with humanitarian relief aid to people in Gaza.
According to the Press Bureau of Majlis, Boroujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with the Head of Egypt Interest Section in Tehran Allaeddin Yousef.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed various issues such as regional developments, the vital need for dispatch of relief aid to Gaza and full support of Islamic states for the oppressed people in Palestine and Gaza Strip in particular.
Breaking the blockade of Gaza and dispatch of humanitarian relif aid should be among top priorities of regional people, said the Iranian MP.
Current situation in Gaza should be regarded as a grave catastrophe for humanity which requires immediate response from freedom-seeking nations around the globe, he said.
The inhuman and savage behavior of the Zionist regime in dealing with the Freedom Flotilla that tried to break the blockade of Gaza revealed the real face of the fabricated regime.
The file of Zionists regime is now full of such crimes against humanity, he said
Allaeddin Yousef, for his part, strongly condemned the attack of the Zionist regime on Freedom Flotilla and said the Zionist regime should be put under pressure to end its crimes.
Iran plays a leading role in regional developments, he said and hoped to witness a new round of relations between the two countries.
He also called for exchange of parliamentary delegations between the two countries which he said would play a vital role in broadeningties between the two nations.
