Sangin, Regional Command - South
U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. Aircrews released precision-guided munitions, made cannon fire strafing runs and fired rockets as required by joint terminal attack controllers and ground commanders. The actions were declared successful.

Orgun-E, RC-E
U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. Pilots conducted a show of force for friendly forces under attack. After enemy fire ceased, pilots conducted a show of presence. Ground controllers reported the show of force and show of presence as successful.
