Sangin, Regional Command-South
Coalition pilots provided armed overwatch to friendly forces. The pilots released precision-guided munitions to counter an enemy attack with small-arms fire. The operator's actions were declared successful.
Balocan, RC-S
U.S. Air Force MQ-9 Reaper operators provided armed overwatch to friendly forces. The operators identified and witnessed enemy forces firing on friendly forces. Operators released precision-guided munitions against the enemy's fighting position. The engagement was declared successful.
Lashkar Gah, RC-S
U.S. Ai Force MQ-9A Reaper operators provided armed overwatch for friendly forces and reconnaissance near their location. The operators identified enemy forces in the area emplacing improvised explosive devices and released precision-guided munitions neutralizing a threat to friendly forces.
Tarin Kowt, RC-S
A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer aircrew provided armed overwatch for several friendly-forces patrols. When friendly forces began receiving enemy small-arms fire, the aircrew responded by releasing numerous precision-guided munitions against enemy positions meeting the ground commander's intent.

U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The aircrews conducted a show of force above enemy personnel firing on friendly forces with small arms and rocket-propelled grenades. The show of force was declared successful.
