A second meeting with the elders and a third show of force with flares were successful in dispersing the crowd without incident.

Marine AV-8B Harrier aircraft provided armed overwatch for friendly forces faced with a large crowd near their positions. The pilots conducted a show of force to reassure friendly forces in the area and the crowd that air support was overhead. The crowd was reported as non-hostile in temperament and did not react to the show of force.

Asadabad
Air Force aircrews flying F15E Strike Eagle aircraft provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. Chahar Bagh
Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet aircrews provided armed overwatch and reconnaissance of known anti-Coalition forces firing positions for friendly ground forces. The aircrews conducted a pre-emptive show of force over the known enemy firing points to deter any potential enemy action. The show of force was deemed successful as no enemy action was noted.
