British Royal Air Force Commodore Stuart Atha, air officer commanding of the 83rd Expeditionary Air Group, presents the Number 1 Air Control Center (1st ACC) crest and flag to Brig. Gen. Larry D. Nicholson, commanding general of Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Afghanistan, during a brief ceremony where the control center turned off its radar for its first time in three years, Dec. 1, signifying the complete transfer of authority to the Tactical Air Operations Center, run by Marine Air Control Group 28, Marine Aircraft Group 40, MEB-Afghanistan.
