Thales and Rostechnologies pledge closer cooperation

Thales and Rostechnologies have signed a memorandum of partnership and cooperation with a view to strengthening their cooperation in advanced technologies.

The document was signed by Luc Vigneron, Chairman & CEO of Thales, and Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostechnologies, in the presence of Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of Russia, and François Fillon, Prime Minister of France, on 27 November 2009 in Rambouillet.

The memorandum establishes principles of cooperation between the French and Russian partners, with a particular focus on exchanges and joint use of advanced technologies for both civil and military applications.

Established as a state corporation under Russian federal law on 23 November 2007, Rostechnologies contributes to the development, manufacture and export of high-technology products and to raising investments in various sectors of industry.
