
CONTACT LOST WITH PREDATOR IN SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN

11/25/2009 - SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Contact was lost with an Air Force MQ-1 Predator Unmanned Aircraft System Saturday in southern Afghanistan.
There is no indication enemy action was involved.
The aircraft is a medium-altitude, long-endurance, remotely piloted aircraft. The MQ-1's primary mission is conducting reconnaissance.
A board will be convened to investigate the incident.
